I had a similar problem in a fleet vehicle and it turned out to be a failed port on the computer...just goes to show, you can't always just generalize and start throwing parts at it or you'll empty your wallet and have issues!

So, it turned out to be a short on a wire coming out of the ECM. Ended up only costing $240, much better than I expected.
