Rear End Question

I'm going to look at a 3.73 rear end out of a 95 2wd truck and was wondering if it would bolt up to my 99 tahoe. I know the wheels will fit but was wondering if the spring/shock mounts were the same? Thanks!

Not sure. I think the 99 in just the standard. 10 bolt. as for the springs/mounts you'll have to just take measurements.

Bingo. If your truck is 4wd, you need an axle out of 4wd. Simple as that, a 2wd axle is like 2 inches shorter.

And if they are both 2wd, everything should be the same and mount up perfect.

i have a spare out of a 96 4wd if u cant find one locally. 373 limited slip. i have 500 into it u could have it for that.

I have a 2wd and that's why I said I know my wheels would fit. I was asking about the spring and shock mounts. I found out that the truck is different and picked up a rebuilt rear end from another Tahoe. Thanks for the replys though!
