So you are sure that the temp door is still attached to its shaft that goes into the motor? no other wire faults around?

I turnd the shaft by thumb wide open (a hell of alot sharper then it looks) so I turned it manually with a screw driver and felt some resistance... The kinda that just felt rite... If that makes sense...

if when you did and it stopped itself in both directions then good. If you can go farther then 180 degrees very bad.
