Might be worth a try to disconnect the battery for some time?
When you start it back up, do not touch the climate controls for a minute (I believe it's supposedly ~40 seconds) where it should automatically do a relearn procedure..?

replacing the hvac modual and not programming it might lead to a communication issue. which is what that seems like?
