If you lived like this you would understand. Not saying wife will drive out into the corn stalks daily, but she does bring supper out to the field. These are the roads it will encounter to get home. Snow is even worse. Just glad it's not the mountains any longer.

Need as much clearance as possible, without lifting it up 6". We are getting old in our age and climbing up into trucks 20 times a day gets old.

So you're having to cut the PPV one down? It wasn't shorter than your OEM one?

My GM parts counter could not find a listing for a PPV. After cutting it down and comparing it to pictures online of the PPV, it looks just like it. Maybe I'm rushing it, and it will be available soon, but winter is here.

Would make the job easier for those that would like to just bolt-on.

I had mine cut down. I'll take some pictures and post them up. Looks much better and I won't be scraping the ground when I go over the curb at football tailgates in the fall.

Yeah. Parts lady (very un friendly) at the Dealer today told me she could not access ppv parts. That they were police only vehicles...

I even tried showing her my police id... She said no.

If only I could just get the part number for the ppv valence...
