Hi All, it appears I need a new hybrid battery. 2 questions, any suggestions on where to buy and is it easy to replace or do I have to go to the dealer?

GMpartsdirect has it for about $2000 (plus $1000 refundable core charge)

Thanks in advance.

Some independent repair shops have the equipment to do a swap properly. And you have the choice of oem batteries or aftermarket. i know dorman makes some.

I got a quote from a local U.S. dealer for $2250 plus $500 labour. Just means I have to drive across the border which is only 1.5 hours.

CDN to U.S. conversion is a bummer :(
