Low Profile Snow Chains on 24's???

Hi there,

I just bought a 2005 denali with 24's and I'm taking a weekend trip to Tahoe after Xmas. Need to get chains, just in case they are required. Has anyone ever used the low profile chains, if so you have any advice or recommendations or comments. This is my truck, as you can see there's not a ton of clearance. Thanks

Ive driven through some insane snow & ice before and up mountains, and not once did I need chains (always had AWD or 4WD). Don't know what tires you have but if they have any tread on them I would think you'd be ok.

thank you. I'm hoping I wont. The tires are brand new. I actually don't have the car yet, being delivered Monday. Not sure is they are M+S. Will check then. I know that we are required to carry ones that fit just in case or we can be turned around.

Make sure the tires are not a summer tread. No matter what 4wd you have if they are summer tires you will get stuck.

Thanks. It's 4wd, and I do not think they are summer tires. But, I would like clarification on what a summer tire is. I've never actually heard of that, all my tires have been M+S.
