I'm new here! I just recently bought a 1999 LT Tahoe 4X4 and it does NOT have G80 RPO code....

Does that mean it has open differential/1 wheel peel/peg leg in the rear? So technically if I put it in 4wd then is it really only 3 wheel drive? (2 front 1 in the back)?? This is the first 4x4 vehicle I've ever owned. I bought it as a winter beater so I don't have to drive my 1999 Z28 Camaro in the snow this year lol. The 1999 Tahoe I recently bought has 186,000 miles and runs great! Has a slight oil leak but I just check the oil and fill when needed lol.

Open diff means 1 tire will spin. The front is not locked either. So you have true 2x4 in 4x4.
