I checked my airbox recently. I only have 2 screws holding the top lid on, and they don't hold in any of the holes.

Left to my own devices, I'll try my luck with larger screws/threads from the hardware store. Would love any other recommendations!~

The bottom/backside of the filter box is just molded plastic. I'm not sure how I'd secure a nut to it if I wanted to, to be able to run bolts through the top. I might be able to rig some straps around the whole box that open/close on top, so I can still service the filter. Thanks for ideas!

I just went to larger diameter screws.

Zip ties would seem to be a major PITA for checking/replacing the filter.
