advice on rim size?

well i'm looking into purchasing some rims for my 99 yukon and i really want 24"s since it's a two wheel drive and i'll just make it a street cruiser. but every website i go to says the max in rim size is 22"s with a stock suspension. is this true or are they just playing it safe?

there just playing it safe...u can do 22's, 23's, 24's on stock suspension...its all about tire size and rim offset...good luck

Where are you located bigguages85? I have a set of 24" Kasino Pitboss wheels with brand new tires on them (well 3K on the tires so new enough) that I just took off my old Yukon 2WD. I want to upgrade to 26s for my new Denali so I'm getting rid of them.

you can put 24s on that with the right tire all day long...shit i just put a set of 28s on my buddys 2dr yukon gt with stock suspension just REALLY TINY tires... you will be fine

Yeah id go no bigger than 24's to be honest. That's just me though.

I did 22's and I dropped with a rake. Two diff size tires from front to rear. SO GLAD I DIDNT DO 24Z!

mccullion, i'm located in yuma, az. but i googled those rims and they really aren't my style, sorry.

and falcon, where did you get your fender flares? those are the type i have been looking for. you have close to the same setup i want (rollpan, fender flares, etc.). not a big fan of the denali/escalade front end and the running boards but to each his own.

i got my rollpan a week ago but i'm gonna wait until i am ready to have my whole truck painted before i put on all my mods.
