Hey everyone,
I have a 93 yukon with a 4l60e and like them all its starting to slip. I'm sure somewhere here is a place to learn how to completely swap the 4l60 for a 5 spd bUT I'd like to create my own thread about it and have some questions answered.
I'd like to try and find a 3500 or 4500 to swap in but I'm not sure what all is required to do so. Obviously I will need a trans and transfer case I'd assume and ecm for the 5 spd trans but not sure which years and configurations would be best suited for what I need. I've searched for hours today and what all is entangled with it ie. Hanging clutch pedal and cutting floor but I don't know what's needed completely. If someone could give me a run down it would be ever so appreciated. I'm just tired of my auto and would much prefer to be able to rake through gears. Thanks in advance!!!
