I just checked and there does not seem to be any play side to side or anything unusual up and down. However, i did just start the truck again, the compressor kicked in and when it shut off, i was able to pull down on the shock which forced the air out again. I then stood on the back bumper and the compressor fired up again filling the shocks, but then i was able to force the air out again. I think this rules out a ride height sensor issue and i may have to go back to the soap test on my own this time. I cannot really hear any hissing noise but will have to try it again.

Check and clean all the connections on the ride height sensors and the suspension computer. The sensors are located under the fender liner with a connection to the frame and rear UCA, you can see this UCA connection without removing the liner or the wheel. The computer is located in the rear body cavity, opposite the jack location, need to partially remove the plastic trim to get to it. The sensors can and do fail, depending on how they fail the systems may or may not throw a code. A dealer's Tech II tool can read the sensors and determine if they are operating within specification. Without a Tech II you can jump the wires at the computer w/ a meter to read voltages (or remove and bench test the sensors).

The sensors are around $200 each to replace. It does sound like you have an issue w/ a leak or the exhaust solenoid in the compressor. Did you use the arnott or dorman compressor? If I paid the dealer to install my shocks I would be upset.

You were absolutely right about the exhaust solenoid. This was my second Dorman compressor and the first time I did this, I used the Arnott rebuild kit. I broke down and went to the dealer, $700.00 later i have a fully working system. Full refunds on the 2 Dorman compressors, I advise anyone to stay away from these. Thanks for all the replies.

Fixed it but still aan error

Install a new compressor and start the vehicle up and it doesn't kick off in 20 seconds you have a air leak if it doesn't shut off. Then you will need to replace the air ride shocks which are expensive,,

I got my compressor working I found a blown fuse after I replaced the compressor which megger out to be shot and I ohmed out the motor and it was shorted to ground. it works great now but the error is still on and I read the way to clear the code is to unhook the batter for 45 minutes and it will clear the code. Is this correct or do I need to take it to a shop where Ill spend $75 dollars for them to clear it in 5 seconds. Should I do the battery?

Anyway to check if the shocks are good or not. building an adapter to use a standard compressed air or something. I don't want to spend the $$$$ to replace my factory compressor only to find my shocks won't hold air. The system hasn't worked in about 3 years. but the ride is still good. If I need to replace my autoride system I will be putting in airbags in the rear for towing and Std shocks all around.

These air rides are such the hassle to deal with. I just replaced both rear shocks with the equivalent Monroe air rides off Amazon. My compressor is good after testing it, relay is good, fuses are good.

But the system still wouldn't work. Then out of the blue the system started working when I was out and about one day, I heard the compressor kick in after I started the Denali. That lasted a couple days and now system is dead again.

Any info on the ride height sensors, where to buy, how to test ect ?

Air Compressor was intermittent- showing Service Ride Control- then going away. Rear shock bladders were empty, but when compressor kicked on they would hold air, and SRC would go away. I currently have Bilstein shocks and Arnott compressor-6 year old replacement. No leaks in shocks, So I replaced Compressor with a Dorman 949-000, it kicks on at start up and fills bladders, then bladders empty within 2 minutes. Cannot find a leak in shocks or lines. No SRC indication. I saw some reviews indicating Dorman is bad-having exhaust solenoid issues. Put old compressor back on and now it won't kick on at all. Should I try a new compressor or does anyone think it's another problem? JVINK had similar problem but thread seems old.

Sounds like the compressor to me. Arnott has a lifetime warranty, have you contacted them?
