1999 Denali U-joint parking brake issue

I have a 1999 Yukon Denali I recently broke a front U-joint and before I bought the part I noticed that when I put it in park it continues to roll I replaced the new U-joint and problem still continues any help would be greatly appreciated

might have also broke the park pawl as its called, what locks the tranny from rolling when you shift to park.

So is it a tuff fix or expensive. Is there any tricks or anything that might help or something

How far does it roll? I’m assuming by your title it’s rollinh forward with parking brake engaged?

pretty sure the trannys got to come out and taken apart to some degree to even get to it.

when put it in park it continues to roll until I press the parking brake

Some roll is normal for all vehicles. I didn’t see a reply when you quoted my comment. Is the parking brake engaged when you are getting this roll or no?

No not engaged. the rolling issue is new
