I would really like the input of those that have gone from 17s to 22s.
A few questions:
How much worse is MPG (due to more weight not OD)?
How much worse is Handling?
How much worse is Stopping?
Vehicle is driven about 28,000 miles per year, so to me i will make a difference.
I have a 2009 Suburban with the factory 17s, I was loaned a 2011 LT 3 with the 20's.....I could hardly notice a difference in performance / stopping and I preferred the stiffer ride of the 20s.
I do not plan to do any brake upgrades as I will not be able to keep the car for a long time, changing to a better pad is acceptable.
Also the new Tahoes and Escalades that come with factory 22s, do they have upgraded brakes or stronger Hubs.
Please Advise.
