Well I ended up biting on a decent deal. I picked up a 2WD LS Burb in silver. It is the base of the base and I even got my front bench instead of full console. Paid $45,400 before taxes. Its a decent deal and I probably would not have gotten a better price if I had waited and most certainly have paid more for ordering an '18. Its my truck now so now its time to make it mine.

Congrats on getting something really rare: the 9 passenger version which is for people with large family like
me something I would have love to have in my LT suburban.
Love the Suburban in silver, picture please?

Its beautiful but it is more "plain-jane" than my '08 Avy. Not even fog lights and the window sticker has a -$250 option for the front bench. lol After 72 hours I am not happy with the radio. The Android Auto is a cool feature but it is PITA to get loaded sometimes. Gonna try attaching a USB stick into the valet port behind the screen. I am hoping I can browse by folder rather than title-artist-album because finding the music I want to hear sucks. They better get Waze ported to AA soon cause Google maps is bleh.

Anyone familiar with the 10 speed transmission in the 2018? Is it something worth waiting for or is it not going to make a big difference?

From everything others here have posted, the 10 speed right now is only available in the Chevy RST Hoe with the 6.2L. Its not even in with the GMC 6.2L or Esky as far as we are aware. GM can change things though. You never know.

The problem I have found for myself is wait for 2018 or buy a 2017 for less money...then I think if I buy a 2018 should I have waited for a 2019 redesign. There really is not a right answer just make the best choice for yourself with the information you have at the time..

2018 Order guide is out.

Denali/Escalade all trim is getting 6.2/10spd

All the rest models is on 5.3 and the damn 6spd.

No mention of 6.2/10spd on Tahoe. But, according to April's media release, you can get them on the performance package. RST is sjust the appearance package, nothing to do with the powertrain

That's what I said! lol The Tahoe RST w/ performance package is 6.2L + 10 spd. Suburban RST is just grille and body colors. Waste of money for myself in my opinion although others may like it. I can have the grill and headlight eyebrows painted if it meant that much to me. Without 6.2/10 the RST was not worth the cost to me. If the 6.2/10 came in the 'Burb with a 2nd row bench I would be all over it.
