Have you investigated specifying your desired options, and ordering from the factory?

It's been a while for me, but that way was cheaper than buying off the dealer's floor. And... you get what you want.

I have and this is 100% a possibility. The dealer I’ve been working with will stack my employee discount code with additional offers (3-4K) but only for inventoried vehicles.

So I can order what I want with employee pricing or find something on their lot and save some money.

Unfortunately they don’t have exactly what I’m looking for

Local dealer had a premier and z71 that I was able to drive back to back.

The premier absolute rides better with the MRC. That’s not to say the Tahoe drove poorly, but certainly felt more “off road” like.

They offered me some pretty insane deals as they could still associate it with last months sales. 85k Premier they offered for 70k. Was pretty tough to walk away from but it was missing air ride, HUD, and digital mirror. I can custom order a Z71 with everything for 72k

Right?? I probably should have purchase it and just flipped it. Sort of regretting my choices
It depends. The real money is made in the back office. People get cooked in the finance office..so they may say we have 70k but once you sign it could balloon up.

UPDATE: I have decided to custom order my Z71 exactly how I want it. No point in settling when I can be patient and get exactly what I want. I am going to wait for the 2026 order banks to open up (rumored for July).

Thanks everyone for the input and your opinions!

I don't know how they are now but our older Z71 rides like Dad's '60 Cadillac but with handling. We also had a C5 vette with upgraded performance suspension option that was remarkably compliant and not at all hard riding.
GM knows how to do suspension.
I would never balk on the Z71 option. But cooled seats? Really? It's a truck.

What does type of vehicle have to do with comfort or options? These SUV’s are pushing close to 80k, they should have cooled seats

If it helps any, I read that, next year, they're gonna offer built-in binkie holders.
