Hello thanks, it will have btr ls7 lifters, high pressure oil pump, and long tube headers. Currently on 33s but looking to go back to stock tires. Also looking for the chop really more than the gains because the truck is heavy anyways. Also will not be doing towing just a dailyYou should provide more information:
1. Tire size?
2. Axle ratio?
3. Transmission? 4L60e, yes?
4. Torque converter stall speed? Factory?
5. Vehicle use: daily driver? Any towing or off-road? Dedicated track use?
The Chopacabra reportedly loses a good amount of torque down low (if all you do is swap that cam keeping everything else the same,) so probably not a good option, unless you also change to aggressive gearing and high stall speed converter.
I would go with option 1 for a daily driver. The specs look pretty good for a daily driver. What heads do you have on your engine? Rectangular ports?
Edit: he's another cam I've been recommended for a heavier truck. Look at the specs: https://cammotion.com/ls-camshafts/...1aWaxXd5_1yFpNyZj9y5AQyyz_X-_Y2bLHX_C7hkk9Py1
I installed the Summit Racing SUM-8718R1 in my 06 Suburban 6.0. It's pretty mild, but I like it. That's more a towing cam though.
