I ordered a set of Vent Visors for my 21 Tahoe LT. They were from Amazing Amazon, but the quality was not good. Returned, now looking again.
What is the best to reorder... exterior mount with the 3m tape, or in channel mount... which is what I had the first time.
Why did I send them back... the plastic material was quite thin and too flexible. Looked like when inserted in the channel, the visor was bowing
towards the window and almost making contact with the glass.
Any advice, pics, help appreciated.

No insight on these things whatsoever, but maybe you can say what brand/seller the ones were that you sent back so that folks don't recommend the same ones going forward.

WeatherTech makes thicker ones. Others do as well, but I'm not familiar with their brand names.
Ones that fit inside the channel usually work better than stick-ons, just take your time carefully bending them into the channels.

I get the AVS brand off Amazon for years and they have been fine for me.

I've had great service from AVS too, on several vehicles.

My personal preference is for the ones that stick to the door. I didn't like the style that goes in the window channel. They squeezed the channel too tight at the top, not allowing the windows to rise completely, causing some wind noise. They are a cleaner look though.

FWIW, I only put them on the 2 front doors.

What do these things do anyway? Are they purely decorative, or do they serve some other purpose?

The brand I had was Lighttronic. I think they were too light, for my lights... sorry, "likes".
I will check out WT and AVS. In the mean time, farts outside, please.
