I have been trying to place an order for a Yukon Denali LZ0 for most of 2025. Dealer (friend of mine) keeps telling me the order cycle is still closed. Am I missing something here? I thought there was a shortage of the LZ0, but is that still the case? He just told me the entire line cannot be ordered at this time. Seems awfully tough to spend money. Anyone have some insight to this? Should I find another dealer?

I’d bet your dealer (friend?) does not have an allocation for the model you want to order.

I’d try another dealer.

Sounds like a combo of your dealer not having an allocation for that type of build AND they are transitioning to the 2026 orders.

I would definitely find another dealer though. Someone with more inventory who can get better access to what you want to build

I live two and a half hours from my dealer, but he is one of the largest dealers in our state.... I ordered in December, and it took till mid-June before it showed up. An ultimate with an LZ0 is a relatively rare bird and it just takes a while to get them even if you do have allocation.

Wow. I ordered a car in 2022 and waited about ten weeks for it to show up from Germany. Guess my expectations were way out of wack.

Has anyone heard from their dealers about 2026 orders? I cant believe the build configurator/pricing has not yet been announced

My dealer encouraged me to wait till at least end of Aug when all the info will be available. I've been looking for the '26 configurator to appear but somewhere I read it might not be out until almost the production date in Sept. Hopefully it will be sooner as there are at least some pkg changes.

Update - my dealer reached out to me this morning with an allocation of a Denali Ultimate. Looks like I can get the LZ0 and pick my color (except for white tricoat), but that appears to be the extent of it. I am getting the executive second row, whether I want it or not, but at least it includes the Bose system that I did want. I'm getting the 24" wheels that I did not want, so I'll order my preferred 22" wheels prior to delivery. No new complaints, as I have been waiting for quite some time.

For a 2026? Did he quote any pricing?

The 2026 Sierra 1500 has been posted on GMC.com. I am thinking the Yukon won't be far behind unless they are going to wait until production.

Just returned from my dealer to discuss a '26 AT4 instead of a Denali in order to avoid getting the sunroof and rear entertainment. I can get everything I would want with the Denali other than the auto step. All the other features are selectable separate or in packages including air ride, super drive, max towing, heads up, security, thicker side glass, etc. While I've seen different opinions on this, he claims I wouldn't notice any other difference in ride or noise. I would change out the Goodyear Wranglers for a Michelin LTX M/S 2 for a quieter ride as the most off-roading I do is gravel roads on trips to CO. I like the grill and the tow hooks, aluminum shield are not issues for me.

He said wait until the build page is posted for the '26, build it and get back to him. No one expects many if any changes in the '26, key card and paint exceptions. Since production begins on Sept. 8 I would expect the build page this coming week??? BTW, would also save 3-4 K in price. Would still go with the Denali if he can delete the sunroof and rear entertainment but dealer thinks that chance is slim. Let me know your thoughts if I go with the AT4 vs Denali and if I'm missing anything in my thought process.

100% I would delete the sunroof and rear entertainment if I could. Problem is I want all of the towing options, nicest stereo and leather, as well as the air ride. My dealer said no way can he eliminate sunroof and rear entertainment, so I am stuck there.

I have already investigated how I can remove the two rear screens and cap them off, so that is on my list once I take possession. I have ridden in the second row of a recent Suburban with those screens in my face, and hate how they block the view looking forward. The rear entertainment in my current SUV hasn't been used in over a decade, so it won't be missed in a new Denali.

I can get the air ride and towing options, not sure about the stereo. Have hearing issues so not too important. Seats, interior look good. I know screens can be removed have seen the video but afraid I’d screw up the dash and console electricals when disconnecting screens.
