My 09 Tahoe LT 4x4 has a factory tow package with a 2in receiver. My question is how much of a drop hitch do I need to tow say a 6x12 trailer?

I have a 6 inch drop to pull a 6×12 trailer and it seems to pull pretty level.

I would think this would depend on wheel size or axle height of your trailer. My 6x12 has 3500lb axles riding on 15" 5 lug wheels-I pull it with my Tahoe with no drop but the rake of the trailer is up a bit - I am confident a 2 or 4in drop would make it level for sure...
