Tire issues on 03 Z71 Tahoe- any ideas?

Hi all,
I'm new to this forum & rather glad I've found it!
I've got a 2003 Chevy Tahoe Z71 that is causing quite the headache.
Three times now the passengers front tire has pulled off the rim for no apparent reason, resulting in a totally flat tire &, though my garage has repeatedly said otherwise, at this point the rim (stock/original aluminum 17's) is damaged.
I've had this vehicle just barley two years & am needing to replace the rubber anyway.
I'm wondering if anyone else has had this issue with 17's on the 03 Z71's & if possibly going down to 16's would be of any benefit?
This rig is pretty much a daily & long distance driver, I don't take her off road, save the occasional dirt back roads where I live that all rigs must face around here. Then again the pot holes on our streets could be considered off roading!
I've Never had this issue with any of our other vehicles, or the one I gave up for this rig (my baby, a 94' Chevy 3500 454, may she rest), but frankly I'm beyond frustrated @ this point as nobody can find a reason or cause for this issue & I'm sick of the rig being unuseable because of it.
When I say you have to be careful with this rig, I'm understating vastly. If you turn the wheels much past dead straight, in motion, the pass front tire starts rubbing & will just pull off the rim totally from basic careful driving.
Something is obviously not right. The alignments been checked & maintained, I asked for the frame to be checked (weather actually done or not, I have to wonder) as this rig has been involved in two minor front end incidents- one before I got it; pass. Front into fire hydrant @ low speed due to sudden vehicle stop in front of driver. Result, Front bumper was replaced. Cracking occoured in under shield of front wheel wells, now massive rusting/deterioration from environment/ road treatment.
2nd event happened this year, front end was backed into by someone in parking lot while this vehicle parked- damaged front bumper, knocked hood off alignment. Checked & have been told only cosmetic concerns, again, not 100% comfortable with that shops answer.
Any ideas or experiences would be MOST appreciated!

You said you've had the vehicle for two years - how long had you owned it before the tire came off the rim the first time?

Something rubbing can cause the tire to deflate and come off rim, out of alignment can cause tire scrub and heat and tire comes off rim, tie rod rub causes deflate and tire comes off rim, wrong wheel/tire combo causes rub and tire comes off rim, alignment problems and diamond in frame causes wrong tire/wheel set back and tire rub and you get picture....

Needs the entire frame and steering/suspension and tire/wheel combination inspected by a shop, not a tire shop, to pin point problem. Needs to be put on a drive on rack and turn wheels lock to lock and inspect.

The first time it pulled off was about 6mos. After I got it.
I'm going to have a body shop check the frame & all thoroughly as soon as they can get us in before doing new tires.
I'd been suspicious from the start- being it only ever happens on the passengers side front & that's where the point of impact was on both instances I'd mentioned in my OP. Though our regular garage checked it over & claimed all was still "true", after both issues & has done the previous two remounts on that tire With it happening every 6-8 months now only on that side I have to wonder.

Try to swap the rim and tire to a different position on the Tahoe and keep and eye on it if the same rim still go's flat you have narrowed it down to that wheel if the same area still has issues now you know it in that area some where.

You need to narrow it down to a bad wheel or tire or some where in the front end.
