spindles should take all of about 30 minutes per side to install...it's not much more involved that changing rotors/pads

How hard is it to install the front spindles? I have heard it is pretty easy to do the back, but I am in the same boat. I am ready for a drop, but just cant bring myself to pay that much to have it installed.

called another 4/wp they wanted 180 to do them...yeah conor i am in the same boat as well. got bilstiens hds...thought i might just do the pedders since they would throw the spring in while doing the struts at no extra cost...then ...found the djm 4 in rear drop with the s/e, sway links, etc..for 200...still don't know what to do for the front..springs are cheaper install wise since i am changing struts...oh what to do

I hear ya, but I have heard that springs up front are a bad idea. Also, if you do any towing like I do I have heard that Belltech is the only way to go. I found a full 2/3 spindle drop on eBay brand new for $390, I just really dont want to spend $500-$600 on an install.

yea... installing spindles isn't very hard at all. Like mentioned, if you change rotors, they you are about 2 nuts away from getting the spindle off. There are some articles around that walk you through the install. I have them bookmarked at home. I will post them up when I get off work.

with you conor...the only reason i am considering paying is for the warranty..conor are you talkin belltech springs in the front, spindles, or drop struts? anthony, where you at in the atx..i used to live there for years..now in Dtown... i roll down there every few months to see friends and family....thinking i will put my new stuts/shocks on and then decide what to do..might go ahead order that rear kit i found 200 seems like a great deal.

Yeah everything on the truck was done by me, except the tint and installation of exhaust components. I will not lie, the spindle install is not hard, was completely straight forward with the right tool, just took 5 hours .
If I was you guys I would say tackle it on your own!

i am with you...whenever i do an install, i always have extra parts lol...putting the bilstiens hds on tomorrow morning..i ll see how it rides then worry about the drop..to do the spindles i'd have to buy an air ratchet, gun, and the sockets..plus some jack stands...i got rid of most my stuff in my condo days..of course now i got a crib w/garage and wish i kept my tools...ack

Here are the links I promised... With these and the one Modded posted, yall should be set. If you have basic mechanical skills, shouldn't be very difficult at all. I did mine using hand tools, no need for power tools. They would make things go quicker, but aren't required.

Hey Jee get an electric impact wrench from Sears instead, will easily do the job. You will also need deep sockets (Auto Zone) and ratchets to match the socket/impact wrench anvil size.
