Removing Mirror Caps?

My mirror caps are PTM and I'd like to keep them and put them on replacement mirrors (my current mirrors don't have turn signals or puddle lights).

How hard is it to remove the caps?

Chris -- I have a post going about this already. Check it out in the "General" section. They're a pain to remove easily/breakage-free, so I've asked for some tips in removing them.
