Removing gas pedal..need help asap

Does anyone know if the gas pedal held is place by that rivot? And if so, do you just push it out? The manual didn't really have a clear picture of the removal and it's raining here, so i can't really get in there too much to see.

yea just push that pin out and pay attention to how that spring is in there, the pin goes through the spring, not hard at all

okay, that's what i'm trying to do. that retaining clip is proving to be a real pain in the ass. luckily i did the full seat recline, so i can at least hang upside down underneath the dash.
