Rear speakers by back hatch?

Whats size speakers are in the rear quarter panels next to the back hatch. Can you go bigger that what it comes standard, Has anyone changed them out?

If I recall correctly those speakers are 3.5", barely any people change them out.....

i haven't even thought of changine those out when you change your door speakers you'll forget they were even bac there.

You could, but why? Like Nfamous60 said, you won't even think about them when you change out ur door speakers! You could try and fit something bigger, but it'd be to much work mod wise IMO! I'll try to post pics of what I did instead of replacing those.

I have my component sets in the door on a aftermarket amp, and my speakers in the rear and tweeters on the front pillar still hooked up to the bose amp. Not as loud as the aftermarket stuff, but when I crank it up, it adds some more sound.

actually I noticed a big hole when I unhooked those in my old yukon. It really fills the entire cabin up. I think pioneer has some replacements, which sound pretty good. its a 3 inch woofer and I think 1 inch tweeter. Plus people who sit in the third row have to hear the sound too.

The speakers mentioned are a 3-3.5" speaker, they are a rear fill speaker, set to play music between the mids and tweeters. When I upgraded my sound system, and removed those speakers. I then used those speakers as the new door chime speaker and mounted 1 up in the dash inline the air conditioning vent near drivers door. it fits great and doesn't block the air flow, but adds just enough audio to let you hear the chimes
