rear hatch window 03 tahoe

How are you doing guys


I have an 03 tahoe and the other day I found my rear hatch window broken

Anyways I found a replacement from another 03 tahoe

It was a very simple install but for some reason it will not latch/lock

Does anyone know if the square hook on the window is longer than others.
It seem like its not long enough to push the locking mechanism to lock it in place

I slam the window hard enough not to break it but it does not lock

Any suggestions?

I couldn't tell you if there are differences in the latch, but I'm doubting it. Try pushing the locking mechanism in manually then popping it again. My sisters Liberty does that crap occasionally.

I did that like 50 times and still nothing

Im going to remove the paneling and hopefully I can adjust the height of the locking mechanism

well I had to cut part of the rubber molding that goes around the rear hatch for the window to close

luckily it was only a small section at the bottom near the locking mechanism

I still don't know why this window didn't just close normally if its off the same year truck
