Factory. Have flow aster muffler and a k&n filter. The main thing that contributed was the roads I was on. I drove a lot on 55MPH roads and caught stoplights. No amazing secrets. Just driving at 55-60 without stopping much.

87 octane. Hoping to do air raid junior soon and electric fans. Then tune

Yeah I usually do about 17-20 MPG when there is no wind or wine towards me, 55-60Mph and the freeway is pretty level. Occasionally doing 10-12 MPG uphill. Avg. highway and street 14.4 MPG

Need to drive with a softer foot. Keep is below 2,300 around town you will notice major improvements

Very true. I went from $400-$500 a month for gas with a heavy foot (75-90MPH) commute to work to $200-$250 a month with softer foot (55-65MPH) and plenty of extra time.

Personal best = 21.4 setting cruise on 60mph non-stop Jersey-to-Maryand thru Delaware on Rt 1/301

Yep. I am slow off the line. And put around town no need to be in a rush and burn gas. I get there the same amount of time. I have found that around town these 5.3 get much better mpg in the below 2k area. And I keep up with trafic fine staying in that area. And I gained massive miles per tank. I can't remember totals as I have driven like this for a few years. But I tell myself this is not a corvette or a hot rod, it is a 6k# SUV not a race car.

Hard to keep the rpms low with the loose stall converter, barely moves me at around 2k. Currently only driving it on snow days so warming it up hurts the mpg a lot right now, but overall I am driving less then 100 miles a month right now. I believe I was getting around 11-12 mpg during the summer.

11-12 town is better than 9... Less than 10 I would cry. As a around town. Then Again I just put gas in mine when she is thirsty. And gas my area is among some of the cheapest in country which makes things great got gas for right at 2.99 other night.

Using the fuel log app on my android phone says that my last fill up (yesterday) I avg'd 12.26 mpg. That's all city driving here in Phila,PA. I would love to see even higher mpg. I try to keep my rpms around 2k. I don't race light to light.
