People with melted fogs

Post your pics and solutions! I have been thinking about doing a retrofit with projectors in mine. I noticed mine this morning. I'll post pics when i get home

Do you have HID fogs? I guess it has to do with the bulbs being hotter obviously but they are also longer so they are very VERY close to touching the lens...

i do now. But i dont daily mine and dont really drive it at night. But i will keep a eye on it.

thanks. I have mine wired to just come on with my lows, so having them on all the time is probably part of my problem, just didnt know if anyone had a fix

when i got my truck the lenses were both off. but good ever since i replaced them. im running hids and havent noticed anything

Yea that might be the problem. A buddy of mine had some of those tinted headlight covers on his charger. Well he had to run his brights to see anything ended up after getting pulled over he had to take them off but also found out they were wrapped b/c of the heat.

Had my HID's in for a couple months with 0 problems and I run them all the time. If the bulbs are not seated in the clips straight they will burn the reflectors, mine were burnt by an OE bulb that a clip broke on

Mine have burned the lenses not the reflectors luckily

i've been running my hid's fogs 3k for the past 5 years and i have never experienced any melting or anything and i always run them like my DRL's..

are the rectangular tahoe and yukon fogs glass? or still plastic lens?

as far as i know mine are plastic OEM

huh, thats strange. It seems like people with those kind dont have any problem with the lens melting. Maybe they are deeper...?

yea must be the denali fogs.
