Not Tahoe related but I thought it was funny enough to share.
One of my children lives in southern California and drives his 1957 Thunderbird frequently. One day he was driving it and pulled to a stop in a left hand turn lane next to an obviously homeless looking, panhandler type guy sitting on an "egg crate" on the median.
The guy was reading something, glanced up at my son for only a second or two and said "Nice '57!" and went back to reading.
