No instrument lighting - 2003 Yukon Denali

My grandfather has an '03 Yukon Denali. He's saying he has no instrument panel lighting. All the gauges work, and the "idiot lights" flash when he starts it, but there's no back light. He said he looked for a fuse but couldn't find one. I know nothing about these cars. I was thinking maybe the bulbs are burnt out but I find it weird that they'd all go at once. Thanks for any help you can offer!
