So I was driving and I noticed that both my head lights are out so I checked the bulbs they are good. If anyone with any ideas why this could happen would be greatly appreciated

Thank you

what did you do to check the bulbs? just a visual? Could be a busted wire/switch/fuse or corrosion @ a connection. Sorry that doesn't really narrow it down for you.

Just a visual check I know I need to check things with a volt meter. And yes the parking lights work fine everything is good besides them. I was going to check the drl relay box.

unknown at this time.
no high beams knocks its down to the multi-switch in the column if getting headlamp power with switch on and testing the yellow wire going into the switch you have power. going out you should have power on the tan wire when low beam and the light green wire when high beam. if not working on those then multi-switch is bad.

I will for sure have to check that thank you for the info!!! Also everything else on the multi-switch works good tho. And the running lights work on the headlight switch on the dash no headlights tho.

i know it sounds weird what part breaks what function but it happens.

I just replaced the headlight switch with a brand new one and still have the same problem so it's deep then just the switch I guess. It's time to do some volt meter work

Just a update. I'm thinking its the multi function switch column switch. But in the mean time I just stopped in to autozone and pick up a fuse block and extra wire and run my own power from the head light switch found a hot wire when the switch for the head light SHOULD be on and tapped into it then ran a wire from there to the head light socket and tapped into the hot side. And now everything works good even the fogs. They much be on the same circuit as the head lights.
