Oh, they changed the grille, the headlights? They changed where the wipers park? These look like superficial changes to the SAME BODY STYLE.

Are you referring to just the GM full size trucks? I gave you a bunch of examples without even thinking about it and the GM vehicles didn't cost as much as houses during those time periods

Plus, let's put this into perspective. If you live in a 70-80k house you "probably" shouldn't be buying a brand new full size GM suv or truck anyway. Just like back in the 50's, 60's and 70's...if you lived in a 10k home you "probably" shouldn't be buying an 8-10k automobile.

In SUV's they kept the same body style from 2007 to 2014 with only slight changes. Do you even know what you're arguing?

In half ton chevy pickups they kept the same style from 2007 until, if I remember correctly, 2013. On 3/4 to 1 tons they made a minor face lift and a few other things in 2011 I believe. The only model to really have many changes is the 2014-15 and now 16-17 had a face lift and a few other options offered.

Is it not acceptable to call them 1st 2nd 3rd generation etc. or even easier gen1, gen2 gen3 ect...

Because if you tried to buy a first gen suburban you wouldn't be buying a '95 ;)

A first generation tahoe is the same body style as an eighth generation suburban. If you name the body style and not the generation it gets easier to tell what truck you are talking about and nbs is shorter that GMT-800.
