I have a 2007 GMC Yukon SLT2. I love this truck, but it has a few quarks. The main one is that the navigation will sometimes not boot all the way when i start the car. It will show the GMC splash screen then go to black and back and forth. The radio/cd player will still work as well as the steering wheel controls (even though i cant see anything on the screen its kind of a guessing game). After it finally wakes up, anywhere from 5-2 hours later, i will have lost all my settings and contact (basically factory defaults, except for my audio setting). I am at a loss.

Please help

In the brush near the river.
Other than replacing the head unit, you could see if there is a firmware flash. I'm thinking that it sounds like a cold solder break though. May or may not be worth fixing. Factory radios aren't fun to disassemble

I think a member here was selling factory nav units for around $400.
