i just picked up a 6al box for 40 bucks but i need to get a rev chip is 6,000 good motor is totally stock in a 96 tahoe
MSd rev limiter pill 6,00 ok ?

Actually 5,300 would be better as redline for the L31 is 5,500rpm.

the wide open throttle shift point should be just below that so you should have no issues.
