Hey guys...I have a 2012 Yukon, and the engine is idling a little rough. It was suggested that I clean the MAF sensor. So I started to pull things apart, and I will admit...I'm mechanically challenged. But this damn thing looks like it should be so easy...I am just stuck. How in the world do you pull the wiring harness from the sensor? I don't wanna pull the thing and break it...but I just don't see how it comes apart....and I can't find anything online on this specific MAF.
Just so I'm clear...this part comes apart...I pull out the sensor, and spray with some of that MAF cleaner spray. Here's the thing I can't get apart:

So I'm hoping someone can help. First...am I doing the right thing trying to clean this...and second...how the hell do I disconnect this thing (above)....I can't seem to pull it apart.

I appreciate your help!

Pry the grey piece back towards the wires, then you can push down the tab to release the connector and pull it back. The MAF is screwed in with Torx screws. Unscrew, pull up. Don't lose the O-ring.

Thanks for the reply. Are you talking about the grey piece as a whole? I actually had pulled the torx screws out, and lifted the sensor up and out. From there, I tried pulling the connector off. Does it just pull?...if so, it seems to me, there's got to be quite a bit of force...which I didn't want to do for fear of breaking something. I wasn't sure if I needed to squeeze any kind of tabs...push down on the little white tab/thing in the middle of the grey piece, etc. If you're telling me to just pull the whole grey piece (no squeezing tabs, prying tabs apart, lifting the white thing up...etc), I'll give it another go.

Thanks again man!

The white/light gray piece prys back. Thats a lock for the tab. Once thats back you'll be able to press down the center tab and pull the darker gray piece off the MAF.
