i was thinking about converting my yukon front end into the tahoe version because i like the sportier look. if i'm correct it's just the lower headlights and the front fascia right? i mean the fenders and hood look identical. please correct me if i'm wrong.

i understand it's a classier look but i want a sportier look. i would keep the front end if i could get a kit like the old 2 door yukon gt's. like this...

Not sure what you are saying is different about the 2dr. Its all the same front end, just colormatched

You could just paint your grille to look like that gt but if you still want the Tahoe one I'm pretty sure the turn signals are the same and the corner lights are different.

you can get all the pieces like the gt. LMC has all the pieces. the grill is like 130 bucks i believe. the smooth black bumper is 100. if you have the time, you can always paint it. thats what im doing because im cheap, haha.

i did the oppisite i got a 2001 tahoe did yukon front clip lol its gonna be hood fenders bumper and lights if you want the true tahoe front end because the yukon headlights curve and hood and fenders follow it

don't forget the fender flares... yeah well the sporty look i was referring to was the color matched grille but mainly the fender flares which gives it that agressive sporty look. but i have pretty big plans for the next six months. i wanna smooth out everything i can. i'm about to order to order my rollpan from here:

and i'm gonna have dual flowmasters and 3" tips put in the back but i am going to have them go through the roll pan. luckily i live like 20 minutes away from mexico (custom piping is cheap down down there). all in all the exhaust setup will cost me like 100 bucks.

the reason i'm asking for advice is because my plans involve turning this thing into something similar to a 50's muscle car. i plan on getting a different front bumper too. i wanna paint it flat black with red pinstriping. i wanna put a 2" or 3" cowl induction hood (functional). i also wanna get drags (street legal) with fatty white walls. think of it like a work in progress. so any and all opinions and help are welcomed.

upgrayedd, i am definitely getting the grille but not the bumper. i want a very smooth sporty bumper for it but the closest i found is this.

i like it and it is isn't that bad but hopefully some one can find a better looking front bumper cover.

so any and all help is appreciated.

EDIT: does anyone know where to get those speific fender flares off of the yukon gt but for the four door like mine? it would help me out a ton. plus the rubber side moldings; are they attached with rivets or just sticky double sided foam tape like the badgings?

I have no clue about the flares I'm sorry, but the rubber molding Is just double sided tape nothing special but it is a HUGE pain to get off you can just rip it off but the tape might stay behind you can spray it with WD40 and let it sit for a while then use a lot of elbow grease or an attachment for a power drill with a buffer wheel. thanks drifter. the reason i asked about the moldings is some cars actually have holes in the body with little metal clips holding them on. i wanted to remove them but i didn't wanna haves those holes until i did the bodywork.

i guess i'm gonna have to go looking around to see if i can find the fender flares.

well norcal i would be happy to switch with an even swap as long as the fenders are the same. i really would hate to have to change the fenders. pm me a number if you're serious. the only real expense i see is shipping and painting. but the painting would only be the front fascia so it would be fairly cheap.
