I am installing my DIC this weekend and I need some info on wires. Here are the wires that are on the DIC with what they go to:

Red = Dimmer
Orange = Instrument panel lamp supply volt - 1
Green = VSS
Purple/Yellow = Ambient air temperature sensor
Black = 12v Accessory Voltage (Power)
White = Ground
Light Blue = Trip computer/NAV class 2 serial data

I have 2 wires I don't know where to connect them under the dash.

The Orange and the light Blue. I am installing this on a 98 2dr 4x4 Tahoe.
If anyone has ever hooked one up or know where under the dash where those 2 wires are at please post up.

Oh this is where I got the idea and info to hook it up and I have the full featured DIC US/MET :

what functions does it have exactly. the diagrami have for the bravada or s10 listed in th pages are wired differently. what year and model did yours come from as well? your colors don't match a 200-2001 bravada s10 or bravada dic with a trip computer or not. and certainly they also don't seem like they are wired the way they should be. in our vehicles orange is the normal battery hot bus, red is a secondary power or triggered bus, black is ground. i can mate the connections for you but need to know where the dic came from and what features are included. Trip computer, temp monitor?

It came out of a Astro van. Not sure of the year. It is the full version. Has temp,compass, trip, miles and instant Eco. The wires that I posted is what is on the DIC and the wiring diagram for the DIC that I found for it, I'm not sure where a couple of the wires go. I have a extra compass and temp plug that I will use to connect the temp/compass up for the DIC. I'm just not sure where the orange and light blue wires go to under the dash.

are you absolutely sure the wire colors have noyt faded to something else? i am looking at 1998-2001 astros and the colors you have still have some incorrect ones. this is a 2001 astro van:

Yep that is the colors I have. I'm not 100% sure it came out of an Astro. I did test the wiring and it all lined up to the paper I got and put it on a battery to check that it works. I think I got one of the wires I was looking for. All I need now is what wire under the dash is the class 2 serial data wire. I'm pertty sure it is one of the wires on the obd2 port. Any ideas :)

on the bravada the pcm one went to the dark green/white wire PCM C2 connector pin 50 vss signal. you would find taht wire on the cruise control module as well. if you have the 411 mod then this applies to you as well.b also on bravada the orange was spliced into fuse 8 courtesy lamp output.

The port should be working. The last time I used it (years ago) was to connect to a Cisco switch and it worked fine. It's an older laptop but it was my work horse for years. If you want any cough movie sites, cough pm me and I'll send a few your way ;) thanks for the help :)
