how to restore shine on polished aluminum lips

hi everyone ive been looking around and ive noticed many rims that have a polished lip usually become oxidized or haze really bad usually this happens with boss motorsport wheels like mine. i bought mine on craigslist with very harsh oxidation and looked horrible up close..i looked around and figured i would try to wetsand and polish my rims.
for this you will need
-a bucket of water
-a rag
-600,800,1000,2000 grit wet sand paper
-an aluminum polish, i used mothers which works great
-alot of elbow grease

first what i did was lift up the back of the tahoe wich a jack and put the truck on drive to have the wheels spinning in air.
wet the 600 grit sandpaper and just place it on the lip of the rim with light pressure. after about 5-10 minutes check your progress and continue on to the next grit sandpaper and soo on.
after 1000 grit you should start to see some shine coming through
once your done with the 2000 grit add your aluminum polish and use alot of elbow grease. you should see an amazing shine gone right out
add a wax after for more protection and repeat for the other three wheels

I got the same wheels as you but silver with polished lip. Every car wash I use the same polish but with extra fine steel wool and it does the job.

Quick question what wax are you using on the wheels
