Long story short, I bought a full LED interior kit for my 2012 Chevy Tahoe for a xmas present. I specifically asked him if his interior LEDs caused any issues and was told no they do not. I already knew about some that needed a resistor to work properly.

We install the LED interior lights and they do not work properly. Once the car is on, they do not light up correctly. Since installing these, my vanity lights no longer work. My license plate led flicker (one of them does, even if I move it to another socket), my puddle lamps work 95% of the time. But as of recently, sometimes they just dont go on (at night). The only lights that do work 100% are the reverse lights.

At any rate, I have been asking Oscar for help since DECEMBER 25th!!! Ive been given excuse after excuse and now they have just stopped all communication. Ive called 4 times now looking for him and explaining my issue to who ever takes my call and they have'nt stepped up to help AT ALL.

Here is an email copy. Notice the dates and replies. Needless to say, I called my credit card company just now and they are disputing the charges. They have a copy of this email as well, so I highly doubt I will have any issues.

Its just BS HID GUY! Specifically you OSCAR for not only lying to me, but taking the high road and expecting me to just eat it.

I dont think so... :Wedgie:

COpy of email...

Hi Oscar,

Ive asked for a follow up more than a few times now. Ive also called and asked for you a few times now. At this point, If I do not receive a return email by today, I will be forced to dispute the charges with my credit card company. Considering I have documentation of these not working and you knowing it, I'm confident they will refund me 100%. Ive been patient. Ive been flexible and Ive been very polite about this. I would like a return email please.

Thank you,
Don

Hello Don,

again I apologize for any delay in responding back to you, it has been
crazy around here and on top of that we had been having some small
internet issues while we switch to a new carrier. Other than that I
ended up taking these issue over to our main installer at a retail shop
we also manage and so far we are still at a lost for an issue of the low
power function.

Now, LED's are pretty basic bulbs, we have never had any of these
issues with the new or old model Chevy vehicles, like at all in this
field of trouble you seem to be in.

The only thing we can come together to think is going on might be load
issue, which then again is hard to contemplate because our LED bulbs are
very strong and use a good amount of load already due to the amount of
LED's on those LED bulbs we supply.

Is there any way you can shoot me a picture of all the bulbs you have
(not including the ones that are working fine).

I want to make sure which bulbs you have going on, then worst comes to
worse we can actually get a newer Tahoe in here to figure out if the
same issue can show and how we can fix it.

The vanity bulbs should not be out unless controlled by a fuse that is
blown, but normally vanity lights are hooked up to all the interior
lights as well so those should also not be working.

Shoot over those images and I'll be glad to keep you going; if any
delay on your response trust me I am all over it but hopefully our
internet issues here do not keep coming up.

I have had nothing but good experiences with HIDguy with mine. Everything was perfect and well priced. I think this may be a bit premature starting a thread like this. At least in the NBS' this is a known problem with them not being as bright as they should be. There is a whole thread on it. GM's fault not Oscar's. As for the vanity lights that could be a fuse as mentioned or could be the way they were put in. They do have a + and - side. I noticed this when putting in mine. The 194s as well have loose connections on the bottom and need to be put in just right, but I have had that problem with every brand of LEDs I have tried. Oscar took a little longer replying with me as well but always replied eventually. That's understandable though, things do get crazy and it can be hard to reply sometimes and it seems like he has a valid reason. Just my opinion. Take it or leave it.

Premature? Considering its almost been 30 days. Countless emails and many calls and still NOTHING and I'm premature? :supergay:

And regarding the NBS LED issues, I SPECIFICALLY ASKED HIM IF HIS LEDs CAUSED THIS ISSUE OR NOT before I made my purchase.

To say its GM's fault is incorrect. To fix this issue, you must install LED lights that use "canbus" technology. Those cause enough load in the voltage for them to work properly in most car applications today.

It would be one thing if he got back to me late. But this ordeal is pushing 30 days and I havent heard back from him since the 10th!!! And sometime tells me he isnt calling me back at all. Ive only called there 4 times since the 10th and keep getting the run around.

I feel Ive giving him every chance possible.

I didn't follow the part where he still hasnt replied back. That is a little strange after that long I agree. But I have had this problem with all LEDs unfortunately...

Well, he did sound like a stand up guy at first. Then he just flat out disappeared.

Are you sure you are putting your LED's in right... Just sayin. I never bought from him I get mine better and cheaper locally but I have had issues doing installs on cars and my Tahoe just because the way inserting them or direction is not right.

Yes Im sure. They dont work when installed the other way. The problem is, these LEDs do not have "canbus". Without canbus, the 12v line does NOT sense enough resistance and causes the lights to not work or work at .8 volts. Which is why they are super dim.

Once the truck is on, the 12v drops even more to the point they dont turn on.

The only way to fix this is to either install LEDs that support canbus. OR add resistors to the 12v line.

I was flat out lied too regarding if these worked 100% the same as stock bulbs. I was told they work perfectly. That IS NOT the case.

And since this, Oscar and his team keep ignoring my calls and emails.

So I called the BBB today and filed a report. I also contacted my CC company and sent them a copy of my emails to them, a log of the calls I made, who I spoke too and a link to this thread. My charges were immediately put back while they investigate this.

Its just pretty F'd up that I have to do all this. Shame on you HIDGUY!

Specifically YOU OSCAR.

Thats F'd up!

Thank You for the heads up. Especially since he hasn't even chimed in, I wont even order from him/them. I was going to a forum sponsor to purchase my hid's tonight but I'll just go with what I know works.
