ok, here's the deal..been trying to locate a HD hood for a while. I finally found a factory hood in my paint code for a perfect price in A1 condition..literally a bolt on deal. Problem is the place wants to charge $250 to ship it and it needs to go to a loading dock. I need to know if anyone has shipped a hood and some possible better/cheaper options like scheduling a pickup thru UPS/DHL or should I just eat the cost and do it!!

U don't need a loading dock. U can get it shipped to your door... I get rims and tires shipped freight all the time and they ship to my house and I live in a residential area. I just have to unload them off the truck without a loading dock. Not very hard.. You should be able to ship the hood freight right to your house

If your in Dallas go to Certi-fit in Grand Prairie, I bought mine for $120 about 5 years ago and just have a shop paint it.

What headers did you go with? I got a set of JBA 6850s long tubes for free looking for a shop that is willing to do my exhaust with no cats.

I have dynatech headers.. I had to pull them off the truck and get some holes in the flanges fixed. Had them ceramic coated at a shop in Arlington..specilized performance coating..they do so.e nice work..most shops won't touch a system with no cats..I installed mine myself, but I'm running their high flow cats.
