I have a 2019 Yukon XL Denali. One year ago I replaced the factory magnaride shock/struts because the passenger side front was showing signs of leaking. Drivers side shows no issue. Approximately 55,000 miles. I replaced both factory front ones with Dorman 949730xd from Rock Auto. Now one year later and approximately 10k miles the passenger side front is leaking again. Drivers side shows no signs of leaking. Any ideas what could be causing the passenger side front to fail?

Yes, the Dorman’s have a limited lifetime warranty. I just wanted to determine if something else might be causing the issue so that could be fixed prior to putting another new one on.

How did your warranty experience with RockAuto go? I have warrantied smaller items from the Rock before and it was easy. I’m curious how such a monstrosity like a loaded strut assembly works out.

The OP hasn't been on here since the turn of the year, unfortunately.
