Front seat swap to ventilated - 2025 Yukon Elevation

This question is for any GM techs that might see this topic...I am wanting to get ventilated front seats in my 2025 Elevation (which I could not get). I can currently buy 2024 seats with the ventilation/heat and at some point maybe the 2025 seats from a higher trim level, BUT the big question is I would only do this if they can be integrated to the infotainment so the buttons are next to the current heated seat buttons? Is the wiring harness the same? Is programing possible and will a GM dealer even do this?

Asking again? There must be a GM tech(s) here on the forum? I can still get a matching set of front seats for my 25 Yukon Elevation but can they be programmed and will the cooling button be in the infotainment next to the heated seat button? I sure don't want to buy them if this can not be done? Not saying a dealer would do this as I am pretty sure they won't but can somebody or company do it?

Perhaps talk to the service manager at the dealership where you bought your 2025 Elevation?

I suspect it would be more work than you realize (and $$$$).

I will, I have an appointment this week with them, but pretty sure I asked them months ago and they said GM would not allow any programming that did not come with the vehicle originally. Been that way for a few years now.

AFAIK, that is still the case. Especially nowadays when many additions need programming of various modules/BCM/ECM etc. Harness and connector might be there, but to make things work is a whole another ballgame.

Gone are the days of plug-and-play upgrades. That's why places like HarnessDr and gen5DIY don't have much available for the latest models.

I'd imagine programming them would probably require connection to GM's system and what not, which probably is impossible for any shade-tree mechanic. But, maybe there is somebody on the inside here who could shed light.

BTW, after not having butt coolers since my wife's 07 Escalade back around 2010 or so, I'm rejoicing them now in her 21 Suburban Premier.
