L X W X H = / 1728 / number of subs

Example with 2 subs:

49 x 21 x 30 = 30870 / 1728 = 17.86 / 2 = 8.93 cuft per sub.

This is non chambered. chambered box have to be calculated on both sides.

This is also sealed. If you wanted a ported box you have to determine what you wanted it tuned to ( 35hz) then calculate the port displacement.

after having some pros tell me how to calculate box volume and showing me using a app, i found out the re calculator is a little off, but as much as 7hz off too. thats not good when i want a box tuned to 38hz and it may end up as high as 45hz.

be sure to calculate wood thickness too
so if the box is 49L, internal volume is really 47.5. thats if each side is 3/4 mdf. if its thicker, you have to calculate that
