Before anyone trashes me for my first ever post, I am not into posting. I have been looking at this site for quite some time because I believe it is the best source of information on these vehicles. One of the headlights in my wife's Yukon burnt out so I decided to upgrade them so she would see better at night. With all the rave reviews about DDM I did not believe that I could go wrong ordering the headlights from them. She even got pulled over but I told her to be patient it would be worth the wait. To make a long story short I called them when I realized that I had the wrong ones. The guy went from "it was a clerical error" to "you ordered the wrong ones." Now I am not a hard person to please but this person refused to even send me the new ones until I sent him the wrong ones. All he would have had to do was throw me bone and I would have been happy but no. This may be a one time thing but since they refused to help me in the slightest way I believe I will look elsewhere for new headlights.

Try HIDGate on eBay. They're just as cheap, usually faster shipping than DDM, and from my experience with them they have satisfactory customer service. They immediately shipped out a replacement ballast when one failed and just asked me to ship the crapped out one back to them at my convenience. Very smooth process.

I ordered from them on the 8th and I keep getting emails that it may take 2-3 weeks to "process". Really???? Still waiting DDM....might wanna hire an order processor.

DDM is very slow at shipping, I actually live by the shop so when I need a new kit or bulbs they make one basically right in front of me in house.

Not sure i see the issue here? You have the wrong ones in your possession, wouldn't you send it back?

Anytime I have ordered the wrong thing online and called the company, they would just charge me for a new one and send it, and credit me back for the original one once they received it. Seems like basic customer service 101?

ddm

I ordered the raptor kits and got screwed around for weeks. I called them and they say no more raptor kits only ddm slim kits so they changed my order to those and shipped out same day.I installed them on two vehicles and one is fine and the other looks like two different color bulbs.

I am sending the wrong ones back but they would not even send me the right ones until they received the wrong ones. They have my credit card number it is not like I am going to steal the wrong ones........what good would they do me?? Guess I read all the good posts about DDM at the same time because seems like they have a lot of issues.

I wish someone in the Forum had told me they ship from China when ddmtuning is based in California. Its been a week now and all I have is a USPS shipping confirmation. Anyone who has used the Postal Service tracking knows it is crap. So basically I have no idea when they will show up.

In my experience companies always make you send back the product before replacing it. Unless you want to be billed twice the get a credit on return. They won't take the chance that you are not trying to get something for free, or know when if ever you may return their product. Just my 2 cents

I'll be doing a HOW-TO utilizing spencerhids.com HID setups here shortly. He is a sponsor over at GMFS, not sure why he isn't here...yet. But anyhow, I think ya'll are going to be rather pleased with his setups.

+1. Guess I assumed too, and ya know where that gets ya. And when I called for my second order to make sure they had it 'in stock' so I'd know it wouldn't take as long, they informed me that all their product comes from China. Good product, but I'd rather buy American and have it much faster. Very deceiving when they say it ships the same day.....from halfway around the ******* world!!

Must just be the luck of the draw.... i bought 2 kits from them and they got to me in a week or less with no issues. Hopefully all your stuff gets sorted out though, always sucks having to return stuff.

Well, this is wonderful to hear, considering I just ordered my HIDs from DDMTuning Saturday night... #FacePalm... Maybe I won't have any issues, hopefully. I really don't care where my stuff is manufactured/shipped from, as long as it works... Good luck sorting things out though.

I've purchased 6 HID kits from DDM and I will never buy from them again. 2 of the 12 ballasts didn't work from the beginning, and 3 others failed within a couple months. All are using relay kits and are in a few different vehicles.

They offer lifetime warranty, but their return process is such a pain and takes so long, it's easier and much quicker to just buy new ballasts. Not to mention that their customer service is horrible and you can't ship to an address different from your billing address.

I finally switched to VVME's and couldn't be happier. The colors are much truer and the 35w slim and the 55w are brighter than DDM's. I did a side-by-side with the 55w and the difference was very clear. We'll see how long they last in comparison, but so far so good. I don't have to deal with DDM anymore, so that's a win as well.

If you google DDM and check around on other forums, you'll see that many out there have the same issues...

Not pushing for DDM or VVME... but if you google VVME's reviews as well, you will see equal number of unhappy folks out there.
Additionally, VVME ships from China as well.

Heh, wouldnt be suprised if they were not created in the same sweat-shop and simply given different labeling / packaging.
