tried searching, but "coolant level" only brought up 2 pages & nothing related to my question. and "coolant level sensor" seem to bring up more things about coolant flushes, heating problems, & air ride.

so, my question is this. is there any way to test the coolant level sensor to see if it has gone bad? my brother's 2002 Denali just had the water pump replaced, but now the coolant level warning is still coming on. where is the sensor located?

any help would be appreciated.

The sensor is located in the overflow coolant tank, where you put the coolant into!

Mine was just a magnetic switch that was tripped by a float sealed in the container. When I had to replace mine, the Pick-a-Part replacement I found did not have the switch so I jumpered the plug to get rid of the dash nag.
