Immediately before 1st to 2nd shift, there is a distinct "click" which I can hear and feel through the gas pedal. Only seems to happen when cold. Any ideas?

6L80, 163,000 mi., no mods, ½ second between click and shift. Again, only when cold. It is fairly loud. I can hear it when the window is down.@NickTransmissions could provide some perspective.
Can you add some more details? What transmission? Mileage? Any associated mods? Time between the click and the next gear engage?
You'd feel failed engine mounts through the steering wheel, not the gas pedal.motor mount?
Thank you for this additional information. Let's get @NickTransmissions thoughts on this.6L80, 163,000 mi., no mods, ½ second between click and shift. Again, only when cold. It is fairly loud. I can hear it when the window is down.
