Cheap fix for a door panel screw up?

the replacement arm rest alone is available from the dealership. it cost about $120 at the dealership local here. i dont remember the actual part number, but the arm rest piece alone is available. a coworker bought that piece because the exact same place broke in his 2004 silverado. try another dealership if you can.
