I'm new to the forum since I just got my Tahoe a few days ago so don't bash me if it's something simple. I've got an ltz with the Bose/nav and I wonder why I can't see the volume level on the head unit? No numerical volume level, no bar, nothing. I'd like to know when I've reached 3/4 volume for tuning purposes for my factory integration project.

Is it just not supposed to be there? When I turn the volume up I don't see numbers or anything indicating volume level.

I am pretty sure this is normal. (If someone knows differently, please correct me!) My OEM navigation unit does not show the volume level either.

It bothered me at first, but I got used to it. I understand the situation you have though. Unfortunately, short from telling you that it's normal, I cannot be of much help. GM must have thought it not important to actually let the driver know what the volume level is on their radio. It's funny because the base level radio shows you at least that much information.
