Had some filler plugs in there. Since I couldn't pull them out I decided to see if I could use them as a base for the body filler. If it doesn't hold then I'll just get it done, but it might work.

Intrigued to see how this looks in the light... I have an unfinished garage sp the ceiling had a bunch of white lines on it making it difficult to tell if theres any uneven color. And I also got impatient on the hatch so I need to sell and that back down and start over with the paint... oh well. That's small and I have lots of time.

Btw, this is all rattle can. Automotivetouchup base coat and 2k glmaour clear...
My buddy who owns a body shop says with the fact that it's aluminum combined with the fact it gets slammed shut...welding is the only thing that holds otherwise after a year or three the filler will start to separate.

I'm fairly positive it will need replaced/ done correctly. I did this as an interim until I can send it to a shop for an extended period of time in the next couple years. Definitely shouldn't suggest this idea of it were meant to be afor sure permanent thing lol.
There are imperfections, obviously, but it looks good for fresh or off the garage, rattle canned and the fact it's not winning any awards or attending car shows...

I tried buffing a small section but it didn't work too well. Just read full cure is about a week sp this will just save me time later lol. Ws able to sand without an issue. I've got some new posts and new cut and polishing compounds on the way since mines about 10 years old and basically dead lol.
