best shocks to buy

i was wondering which front and rear shocks to buy i was thinking air adjustable on the rear like the ones people put on for towing but i dont tow anything but still want the option to raise if i go bigger wheels is this agood idea? and another question can i put front lowering shocks on a 4wd truck without any problems thanks

why get adjustable in the rear if not towing or making the front adjustable? and the shocks really don't play into the height on our trucks. it's mostly the springs and shackles in the rear and springs and spindles in the front. if you like the way your truck is sitting now then just get some good replacements. i prefer bilstein or munroe. bilsteins is what i have on mine and people love the ride in my truck. i can go over curbs at 15 to 20 and you can barely feel it. also takes the speed "dips" really well. what i wanna know is what the stiffest front sway bar for our trucks is. mine handles pretty good no but i want it to handle like my old 05 stang gt.

EDIT: d@mn i just noticed you have 24's. the biggest you can go is 26's without a lift but you will need rubberbands. and please don't lift just to put 28's. donk doesn't look too hot on these trucks. i'm originally from memphis so i have a good idea on what your thinking about doing. myself i got 22's but i had it slammed. now that i'm lifted i'm swapping from 265/35/22 to 285/45/22 nitto terra grapplers. if you do decide to lift try looking into more agressive tires. i tried my buddies 26's on mine and it just looked like too much rim. you'll be glad if you try looking at different tire options.

now i'm not trying to tell you what to do by any means, it's your truck. i'm just suggesting our vehicles look best when a certain size equilibrium is maintained.

I did separate systems for the rear so I can get the shock I wanted and the air support system I wanted as well. you will have a hard time finding air support for the front I think.

thanks for the help im not going 28 or nothing just another set of 24s i dont want a donk lol but my rear is sitting lower than my front and i hate it

then a simple fix would be some lift blocks. you can get a set for pretty cheap. measure ground to fender lip and let me know the measurements for the front and back. i can recommend a decent set of blocks. once i put my stock springs back on i put 2 inch lift blocks to go 2 inches above stock. the whole process can be done in about 30 minutes with hand tools. my set only cost 55$ with u-bolts.

ok will take measurements but i was thinking about dropping the front alittle but not sure knida scared to mess with the torsion keys because ive heard if i lower to much it will always engage 4wd

be very careful if you decide to lower the front. 24"s are already a snug (not tight, but snug) fit. make sure you double measure because rubbing can damage perfectly good tires and i know lo-pro 24 tires are pricey. also keep in mind suspension travel because lowering too much to tuck in the wheels can cause your tires to bottom out somewhere on your truck. like my friend w/ the 26's lowered his so much that when he hit bumps the tires where hitting the actual bolts that hold the metal wheel well lining in.

EDIT:nevermind. i looked at your album and you have a lot of room to lower in the front. just take the measurements and i can recommend some lowering springs. usually can get them for about $110. but be warned if you plan to do the work yourself let me know. i can give you instructions on how to do it with pictures and everything. it's a little tedious the first time messing with it. i've sort of developed a method (or a checklist if you will) to the easiest way to get this get.

EDIT:looks like 2-3 inch lowering coils should do it but best to be safe and take measurements.

Get rancho's so you don't bottom out...nice stiff shock.

Either way going to have to cups welded in the rear. Have to meaure how far out the firestone bag sits in flated...make sure that is the right bag for ya.

i finally did the front end drop with stock torsion keys it was very eazy to do i like the way it sits because it looks like its a little lower in the front well it is but only a couple cm's but i like it check it out and let me know what u guys think pics with the 24s is before drop

I have Autoride suspension thus I ordered Arnott/Billstein. If you do not have the system you can easily use Rancho's.
